Well known for his research in the use of psychedelics to treat substance abuse disorders, Dr. Sackett is currently Co-director of the University of Washington’s Center for Novel Therapeutics in Addiction Psychiatry and Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

Dr. Sackett also currently serves on Washington State Health Care Authority’s Psilocybin Work Group, studying whether Washington should legalize psilocybin services. Dr. Sackett ensures that Ayra Retreat’s protocols follow leading scientific practices.
