FAQs

A growing body of research has shown that psychedelic-assisted therapy can provide relief for many mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, eating disorders, OCD, and addiction. Administered in a safe and guided therapeutic setting, psychedelics (including psilocybin, MDMA, and ayahuasca) along with traditional therapy, have the potential to help many find peace with difficult challenges. Psychedelic therapy can also help healthy people level-up and reconnect with their purpose and why.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy at Ayra Retreats is not a party. If you’re looking for a party, this is not the retreat for you. Our retreats are based on the latest scientific evidence and best practices established by scientists and doctors at John Hopkins University and NYU. To benefit the most from your retreat, it’s important to prepare beforehand and complete post-retreat integration. Ideally, you’ve already been working with a therapist who knows you best and can support you throughout this journey. We can provide referrals if you do not currently have a therapist.
Are you feeling stuck? Have you or one of your clients been to talk therapy for the last five years without improvement? Do you need a breakthrough, or would you just like to feel more balanced and connected to the world? We invite you to consider one of our retreats.
We are currently developing a Washington-based retreat center in anticipation of future legalization.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy provides a new path for healing and a fresh perspective on life’s challenges. If you’ve tried everything else, psychedelic-assisted therapy may provide the breakthrough you need. See our Resources tab for further reading on the benefits of psychedelics.
Our psychedelic therapies are administered using the best scientific practices available. While other retreats may use a more shamanistic, ceremonial, or traditional healer approach, our treatments are science-based. We acknowledge and respect the importance and history of psychedelics in indigenous cultures. Our protocols include constant supervision during treatments, licensed facilitators, and medical support in a safe, comfortable environment. Experienced facilitators provide non-intrusive guidance as needed throughout treatment.
The safety of both our guests and team is the foremost priority at Ayra Retreats. We carefully evaluate all guests beginning with their initial screening forms. While we believe that many people will benefit from psychedelic-assisted therapy, it is not appropriate for everyone. If we are unable to accommodate you, we will do our best to refer you to another group or facility that is better suited to assist you. From our established treatment protocols to our retreat facilities, safety is always front of mind.
